- Introduces LG-TM520, cdma2000 1x handset in Brazil
- Plans to become a strong first mover in Latin America with coming commercial launch of cdma2000 1x services


LG Electronics is ready to become the dominant player in Brazil' cdma2000 1x handset market. In line with the coming commercial launch of cdma2000 1x services, LGE introduced its LG-TM520 handset in Brazil.

The new cdma2000 1x handset has embedded MSM5101 chip to realize maximum 144kbps data transmission and can also support high-speed wireless data communication with faster wireless Internet access. LG-TM520 also supports Tri Mode (supporting AMPS, cellular 800mHz and PCS 1.9GHz) and Dual Band features.

The new handset is a dual folder where the additional LCD window on the front allows users to check text messages, time, and caller ID without opening the folder. It also comes with 4 Hot Keys on the upper part of the keypad so that users can store frequently used functions for added convenience.
